Christmas bazaar needs your help!

It’s almost Silent Auction time! It’s time to begin thinking creatively! Each family is being asked to create a gift basket/bag/item that can be sold at the Silent Auction for the December 3rd Christmas Bazaar. Last year we had some terrific donations: a tea lover’s basket, a gift wrapping kit, special gift collections for ladies and children, and the ever popular chocolate lover’s basket. There were some unique offerings, such as a tooth whitening procedure, some folk art roosters, special works of art, and even cookie jars and place mats. Please contact Dyan Vaughan at bazaar@fccbristol.org with your family’s donation idea so that bidding pages can be prepared. Also, church school children are being asked to donate items for the chocolate lover’s basket. Please bring in your donation by Nov. 27th. Donations can be dropped off at the church office during the week or in the DeWolf room on Sundays.

Suggestions: golf pro collection, gardener’s basket, gingerbread house kit, bubble bath kit, offer a round trip drive to the airport, offer time at your vacation home, offer an unused gift still hanging around from last year!

Christmas Food Baskets

The Deacons are continuing the tradition we started last year by preparing and delivering food baskets to the less fortunate this Christmas. We are inviting the Congregation to provide donations starting the first Sunday in December. The baskets will be assembled on Sunday December 17th and delivered sometime the following week. As always, all are welcome to help put the baskets together and distribute them.

Senior Luncheon Trip

There is a senior luncheon trip on Tuesday, November 15th @ 11:30am. The cost is $7.00 per person with a menu of fish or chicken accompanied by potato, vegetable of the day, soup or salad, dessert and tea, coffee or soda. The Deacons have arranged for a bus to transport everyone to and from the event. It will be leaving @ 11:30am from in front of GH. Please see Rev. Randall for additional information.

Adult Hayride and Cookout

The adult hayride and cookout has been rescheduled for November 13th at 5:00pm. It will be held at Oakdale Farm, 61 Wheaton Ave, Rehoboth, MA. This event is for adults only! The cost is $16.00 per person. The hayride will be follwed by a cookout of BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, beans baked potato, corn on the cob, rolls and butter, apple crisp and hot chocolate. After dinner, gather around the bonfire and toast marshmellows. Sign up now in the Dewolf Room.
