Humanity is endlessly fascinated with certain fundamental questions. And perhaps its by struggling with the mystery of these questions that we shape a life that becomes part of the answer. This Lent lets live with those questions as we journey toward the answer that is Easter.

The 30 Minute Bible Study will address the 4 Eternal Questions of our faith. All studies will meet right after the main service on Sunday in our beautiful sanctuary. No homework needed. Come as you are!

March 14 -  WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE?

March 21 – IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH?

Haiti Update

Posted in Announcements at 10:59 am

We cannot help but note the individuals from the Midwest Baptist Church who got into serious trouble around their working with orphans. It reminds us how seriously we take our role in doing mission work in Third World countries. One of the key foundations of the work we do through with our Haitian task force and wider church ministries is to do work under the laws, advice and guidance of local people.  We are there as their servants, not there to bring our culture’s norms and expectations, but to work with and respect theirs. We do our work on the basis of invitation and respect for those who have asked us to work among them.

Please continue to find ways to help support both our Haitian task force and UCC Wider Church Ministries, (One Great Hour of Sharing) by designating your gifts to either one or both by name.

Members of the task force will be returning this week and will be sharing with us the opportunities for mission they have discerned from their trip.
