This week’s scripture was Matthew 3, 13-17. It talked about the baptism of Jesus. It taught us how small things we do can add up to something greater. We also read scripture Acts 10, 34-43. In this scripture God made it clear Jesus was the one ordained by God. It states, “Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of the bad choices they made” Water is a universal symbol often associated with purification and mystery of creation. Water is used to purify in baptism.
In the 3rd and 4th they made flying doves with feathers on them symbolizing the dove that came down after Jesus’ baptism.
In pre K and K they made mirrors out of tin foil and wrote on them I’m God’s beloved child. This way every time they love into the mirror they know that they are loved by God.
