The change will go into effect beginning on Sunday June 13 and last through Sunday, September 5. Please make a note of it.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback during the listening time. The proposed change was announced over 5 Sundays, encouraging people to vote on the website or speak with a deacon or Pastor Dan with their feedback.
See you in church!

On Thursday April 1 we will hold our annual Maundy Thursday potluck and Tenebrae service. The potluck starts at 6pm and the Tenebrae Service begins at 7:30pm. This year the Tenebrae Service will be held in the main sanctuary.
This beautiful and moving service depicts the passion of Christ through sacred scripture and gradual darkening of the worship space.
We hope you will join us. A sign up sheet for the potluck is posted in the DeWolfe room, or you may email Barbara at the office and let her know what you will be bringing and how many are in your group – office@fccbristol.org

The Board of Deacons
‘Christmas Food Basket Mission Project’
The Board worked with local agencies to provide food for those in need. With the many volunteers, they were able to put together 33 baskets.
The Board of Deacons would like to thank everyone who came out to help put the Christmas Boxes together for the families in Bristol. The day was awful but the willingness from all who came was great.

Due to inclement weather, Pastor Dan and the Deacons have decided to cancel today’s church service. The Deacons are still planning to gather around 4pm to organize the Christmas food baskets. If the weather becomes better and you haven’t yet dropped off your food donations, the Deacons would appreciate it if you could sometime during the early afternoon.

On Sunday December 9th, after worship, the Open and Affirming Committee will present the first of several forums. This forum is called “The Human Face of Homosexuality and the Family”. The panel will include parents with gay children and gay individuals who are active in their church, along with ordained clergy familiar with this topic. The congregation is encouraged to attend as we begin the important process leading to an informed decision about becoming an Open and Affirming Congregation.

The Deacons are continuing the tradition that began two years ago by preparing and delivering food baskets to those less fortunate for Christmas. We are inviting the congregation to provide donations starting the first Sunday in December. The baskets will be assembled on Sunday, December 17th, and delivered sometime the following week. As always, all are welcome to help put together the baskets.
