Spa for the Soul – All Sundays in Lent

Join Pastor Dan in the DeWolf Room as it is transformed into a cozy chapel for a Sunday Evening Meditative Service. Each Sunday at dusk. (Times will vary with the setting sun – see the schedule) The chapel will be open 1/2 hour before the service begins for quiet meditation. Relaxing music will be in the background and devotional materials will be available to you.

This service is a perfect end to the week or the beginning of a new one.

The service lasts about 15 minutes.

Ash Wednesday Labyrinth Service

Please join us in the DeWolf Room at 6pm Wed. Feb 17 for our Ash Wednesday Labyrinth Service. This moving and meaningful service is a perfect start to the Lenten Journey. Families are encouraged to bring their children to this reverent service and teach them the meaning of Ash Wednesday and labyrinth walking.

4 Eternal Questions – 30 Minute Bible Study

Humanity is endlessly fascinated with certain fundamental questions. And perhaps its by struggling with the mystery of these questions that we shape a life that becomes part of the answer. This Lent lets live with those questions as we journey toward the answer that is Easter.

The 30 Minute Bible Study will address the 4 Eternal Questions of our faith. All studies will meet right after the main service on Sunday in our beautiful sanctuary. No homework needed. Come as you are!

March 7 – DOES GOD EXIST?

March 14 -  WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE?

March 21 – IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH?

March 28 – WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

Food Pantry Orientations

From Anita Randall, Director of the East Bay Food Pantry:

For those of you who are or would like to volunteer in the food pantry, thrift shop, and/or office; we are offering an orientation on Wed. 2/3 at 9:30am and Sat. 2/6 at 9:00am.  Now that we have been up and running for awhile, we are ready to add orientations and training on a regular basis.

Each active volunteer is required to complete an orientation and subsequent training in the area s/he is/will be volunteering.  We will offer those at the most convenient times for the greatest number of people.   Please see below for the flyer we have been giving out in the pantry and thrift shop…

To all Volunteers:

Please join us for our first Volunteer Orientation.  We will have coffee and munchies for everyone and time for your feedback, questions, and ideas.  We require all volunteers to attend one orientation with us.  Thank you!

Christmas Eve Service 5:00pm!

Don’t miss FCC worship at its best. Our Chrismas Eve service is at 5pm this year. Lots of special music is on tap, a beautiful candlelighting moment and moments. Memories to share and be made.

Grand Opening of the Stone Soup Thrift Shop

As we enter this week of Thanksgiving, there is one more reason to be thankful.  Many people of this church have been involved in the outreach mission of helping with the East Bay Food Pantry and Stone Soup Thrift Shop.  Join us this week, as the organization takes it’s next big step and officially opens the doors of the thrift shop.
