A little reminder from the music world and the Playing for Change movement…  In times like this, with economic hardships and pandemic fears, it’s important to remember that nobody is alone:

The Power of Music

Posted in General at 8:43 am

I recently discovered Playing for Change, which is

a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The idea for this project arose from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. No matter whether people come from different geographic, political, economic, spiritual or ideological backgrounds, music has the universal power to transcend and unite us as one human race. And with this truth firmly fixed in our minds, we set out to share it with the world.

For those that have never heard of this movement, I thought I’d share with you some of their music.  For a first installment, enjoy the sound of One Love:

CE Classes/Choir Cancelled Again Today

Posted in Announcements, General at 7:57 am

Well the Sunday winter weather is certainly interesting this year! After much deliberation we have decided to cancel CE classes for the second week in a row due to weather.  Othniel and the choir also have the day off. Pastor Dan will be at church at 10 to hold a communion service for those hardy souls who make it in.

Stay warm and be safe!

Bristol Phoenix Article on ONA Vote

Posted in General at 4:07 pm

Our very own Pastor Dan was interviewed for a Bristol Phoenix article writen about our open and affirming vote.  I’d encourage anyone who has a few extra minutes to read the entire article.  The article was posted yesterday evening and already there are three comments, presumably from people outside of our church, who have written in support of our actions.
