Stone Church Coffeehouse
Join us each month for our Stone Church Coffeehouse, Bristol’s volunteer-based, non-profit organization that fosters the appreciation of music based in or influenced by a wide variety of acoustic music. The mission of Bristol’s Stone Church Coffee House is to provide monthly opportunities for local, regional and international musicians to perform for, entertain, educate and interact with audiences in an affordable, handicap-accessible, family-friendly environment.
This video is a wonderful representation of the good we can do in the world!
Annual ‘The Church Has Left the Building’ Day – Fall
This is a day when our community of faith goes out into Bristol to do good deeds instead of holding traditional worship. We wash windows for downtown businesses, pick up litter, pay for people’s laundry and the laundromat, and many other fun, meaningful intentional acts of kindness. Check our website for this year’s The Church Has Left The Building Day!
Service Trip – Spring
Many years, a group from our church, including many youth members, travel on a service trip. Recent trips have been to Washington, D.C. and New York City.
Homeless Awareness Sleep Out – Winter
In past years, the youth of our church sponsor a homeless awareness sleep out in front of the church. They spend all night outside on the church yard in makeshift shelters and a speaker comes to discuss homelessness in RI and the East Bay.
Community Blessing of the Animals Service – Early Fall
Many years we work with local veterinarians and animal shelters to make it a great service at Colt State Park Chapel. We invite local musicians to play at this festive service.
Learn about and support the East Bay Food Pantry, which was founded by our congregation in 2009. Since then it has gone on to become a totally separate 501(c) 3 organization and is doing wonderful work engaging, educating and empowering the East Bay community in creating a hunger free community. This is what Jesus has to do with justice!
