The Deacon’s regular monthly meeting is held the second Thursday of each month at the Guiteras House at 7pm, unless otherwise noted. The Deacons are always interested in the suggestions or questions of the parishioners. The monthly Church Council Meeting is held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Guiteras House, unless otherwise noted. The beginning of each meeting is especially set aside for parishioner’s questions, suggestions, or input. The Women’s Missionary Guild meets Tuesday afternoons from 1pm-3pm at the Guiteras House. They are always looking for new members. Bring your knitting, crocheting, crafts, piecework, sewing, or just come (they will find something for you to do). Your presence is always welcome, but your talents are now especially needed as we get ready for the Christmas Bazaar.
They have a lot of fabric and notions that has been donated to them, so if you are looking for something special for your project, check with them – they may have what you are looking for.

The Art Affair on the Fence is here for the third year. Planned and hosted by Sandra and John Tolley, this is a great chance to see many local artists, and purchase marvelous art for your home or for a gift. This event will be on August 21st from 10am-5pm. Food will be offered for sale, and music will be provided by James Thomas and David Carney for your additional pleasure.
Anyone wishing to help, or participate as an artist, please call Sandra or John Tolley.
Volunteers are needed to work throughout the day, and also to donate great homemade goodies for the artists as they set up. Again, please call the Tolleys.

On Saturday October 23 the Facilities Committee is hosting a Buildings and Grounds Evaluation Day. We are inviting folk in the trades, and preservation experts to come to our facilities and offer their ideas, solutions, advice and appraisal for much needed work as we start gearing up for a capital campaign. At the end of the day we will have some food together and invite the Congregation to hear the reports. If you wish to help with the event, please contact Mark Johnson, chair of the Facilities Committee.

It is time to start thinking about Rally Day! On Sunday September 12 our Church School, Choir and program life comes roaring to life! The Confirmation class begins and Pastor Dan will have several education offerings you can sign up for.
We will have our traditional all church BBQ after the service!
Mark your calendars and remember that the services go back to 10am on Sunday, September 12!
The Board of Deacons met to evaluate worship attendance since our change to the 9am worship time for the summer months. Worship attendance has been as good or better than in previous years so the Deacons have decided to keep the service at 9am through September 5. On Sunday, September 12 we will return to the 10am service schedule.
Something old and something new is on High street between Bradford and State Street! The Town arranged for the red, white and blue stripe to be re-painted in front of our campus! The stripe was laid down at 2:30 am Thursday morning and it looks fantastic.
What is next – the parade actually continuing on past the church that founded it…………….?
