Bristol’s Stone Church Coffee House at the First Congregational Church welcomes popular, Boston-based bluegrass band, Railroad House, on Saturday, May 7th.
Railroad House is a six piece band featuring lush 2, 3, and 4 part vocal harmony and playing a diverse blend of Americana music, from straight ahead Bluegrass to Western Swing, and beyond!
Railroad House songs have a sense of dynamics. They save their beautiful harmonies for choruses or key emotional points in the songs. They play a sprinkling of instrumental numbers in a set, but vocal-driven tunes are where this band shines, whether plucking a couple tunes from Steve Earle‘s “The Mountain“, serving up a standard like “Blue Ridge Mountain Home” or adapting a country tune like “Rough Around the Edges”. All in all, Railroad House will keep you entertained with great music and a fantastic stage presence.
Bristol’s Stone Coffee House is an affordable, family-oriented, handicap-accessible musical venue. Doors open at 6:45PM and the show starts at 7:30PM. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are $20.00 per person (students are half price; children 5 and under are free).
